Wendell (Sonny) Gunlock's Obituary
GUNLOCK, Weldell D. “Sonny” age 60, of Waynesville passed away on March 5, 2007. Born Oct. 19, 1946 in Chillicothe. He is survived by his wife Ginger, married 23 years, parents Sarah and Wendell Gunlock Sr. of Chillicothe, sister Susan (Gary) Smiley of Columbus, children Janine (Jeff) Roffe of Columbus and Darren (Julie) Gunlock of VA, three grandchildren Rebecca, Ryan, and John, and numerous cousins. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was much loved by all of his many friends. Wendell was a graduate of Bishop Flaget High School, class of 1964, and a graduate of Franklin University. He was a member of Waynesville Lodge #163 F.&A.M. and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He had a successful business career in real estate, county government, and various entrepreneurial endeavors, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. A Masonic memorial service will be held 4 P.M. Thurs. March 8 at the Waynesville Masonic Lodge 1351 Lytle Rd., Waynesville, Ohio 45068. A reception will follow the service at the Masonic Lodge. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family. In memory of Wendell, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
