My friendship with Bill goes back over 40 years. Many, many pleasant experience and a few not so pleasant. A man who not only give you the shirt off his back he would also throw in his tee shirt for good measures.
His loyalty to his family, friends, cohorts, political associations, etc. was never questioned. I appreciated the fact that he always "bad by back," rather supporting me for doing something well or encouraging me when something did not go so well.
